Some midlife daters fear that because they met someone great once, and that person is now gone, they may never meet anyone else that makes them feel the same way.
It's always difficult to move on from a marriage or long-term relationship, particularly if it was a good one. The way to get your mojo back is to date this time around with a completely open mind about who would be a good fit for you. When you were younger, you found someone who suited you for that time, and you were lucky enough to have that person change and grow with you as your relationship did. But now that you're in midlife, you are a different person now than you were in your 20s. (And thank goodness for that! Don't we all wish we could go back to our younger selves and tell them what we know now?)
